Alcohol servers invited to free training

Local restaurants, bars and alcohol retail establishments are invited to a free training program March 7.
The Responsible Alcohol Seller/Server Program is designed for both on-premise and off-premise business owners, managers and employees.
The topics include: sales to underage people, sales to intoxicated people, acceptable IDs, fakes, altered and look-alikes, Dram Shop laws, happy hour laws, protecting your business, protecting yourself and hours of sale.
Participating businesses will receive certification from the N.C. Alcohol Beverage Control Commission and will be recognized locally through Western Youth Network’s Good Neighbor Campaign.
The training will occur from 10 a.m. to noon March 7 at the Courtyard by Marriott at 1050 N.C. 105 in Boone. Call Hollie Storie at (828) 264-5174 for more information or to RSVP.
