LeGree signs with Seahawks

by Staff Reports

Mark LeGree is finally getting his wish to play in the NFL, or at least attend an NFL training camp.

LeGree, a safety from Appalachian State, signed with the Seattle Seahawks and was in camp Thursday, according to the Associated Press. LeGree was a fifth-round draft pick by the Seahawks in April. The Washington Post said LeGree signed a four-year deal. The salary was not disclosed.

He was one of six draft picks signed by the Seahawks. Wide receiver Kris Durham, defensive back Richard Sherman, defensive back Byron Maxwell, defensive lineman Pep Levingston and linebacker Malcolm Smith also signed with the Seahawks, who opened camp Wednesday.

First-round pick James Carpenter out of Alabama remains unsigned. John Moffitt out of Wisconsin is also unsigned.

One day earlier, ASU defensive end Jabari Fletcher signed a free agent contract with the Cleveland Browns.
