ASU women beat Furman

Appalachian State's got 20 points and six assists from point guard T.C. Weldon, and cruised past Furman 85-70 in Southern Conference women's basketball Monday at the Holmes Center.
Weldon, who also had four steals and did not commit a turnover in 32 minutes on the court, was one of four Mountaineers to score in double figures. Freshman Maryah Sydnor scored 18 points and had four steals, while Raven Gary added 12 points and four steals.
Anna Freeman scored just 10 points, but pulled down a team-high eight rebounds and blocked six shots. Freeman grabbed five steals.
